$200.00 bonus prize by popular vote..

To qualify for the bonus prize:

(!) You'll need to wrap it in igloader so it can be played on a browser - this is easy, its like zipping up a folder!

(!) Your game must have a splash loadup showing it was made for the www.shmup-dev.com contest

(!) Your game must have a splash loadup showing all sponsors as described on prizes page. Use their logos.

(!) You'll need to get your game in the shmup-dev group on pjio.

(!) Voting will start on Jan 1st and end Jan 15th.

(!) All votes will be scrutinized from Jan 16th to Feb 1st to prevent cheating

(!) Winner will be announced after Feb 1st.

Re: BONUS Prize: $200.00 to top voted game at pjio.com

Wrapping tools and instructions are provided on the site, as Matt says it's as easy as zipping some files.

In addition to the game being on pjio you can also embed the game on your own or other sites using the embed code that's given on the main game page. What does that mean? it means free igLoader web games for you.

I would also like to add the pjio.com will be matching the $100 by Shmup-dev - so consider the prize to be at least $200 at this time.

So Matt, about the splash loadup screen, could you please provide us a sample so that we could have a clear idea of how to do this?  Hey, that way, some of the users who have *absolutely* no idea what a splash loadup screen is would know for sure what is going on now.  Wink

Thanks a lot, man, and God bless!!!  cool1 !

There will be official splash loadup screens posted soon (in different sizes), which you can use in the games. Check back for news on this later. Smiley

What is the word on this?  Since pijo is still down is this cancelled, delayed or... what?  Also do we have to use the splash screens provided or can we play with the layout and color sceme?  Leaving all of the sponsors and shmup-dev on there of course.

Re: $200.00 bonus prize by popular vote..

Hey!  Well, last I heard that pjio will be down until after the new year, so I'm thinking it should be up soon.  If pjio ends up getting delayed further, then we might have the voting occur later on.  I still want to do that though.

As far as the splash screen goes, feel free to change it up as long as you keep the sponsors intact and some homage to shmup-dev somewhere Smiley

Re: $200.00 bonus prize by popular vote..

Looks like pjio.com is still undergoing redesign as our competition hits a close.  For now, I am just going to wait for pjio.com to come back up.  Once pjio is back up I will announce the pjio contest along with the prize as it may be different.  Please be patient Smiley

Will the games in 2007 autofire comp still be eligible, will they have to be completely new, or do you not have any idea yet?

All games in the Autofire 2k7 comp will be eligible, no updates to the games would be allowed unless they were crucial updates in getting the game to work with pjio(which shouldn't happen)
